Lenovo E550 external screen flickerinig when hooked up through VGA

Solution

According to Lenovo, there is a fix for this issue. The problem lies in the communication between the chipset and the external display ports.

The fix involves installing new Firmware from Lenovo. It can be downloaded from their Landing Page.
